Dr. Jack Newman's reputation as a breastfeeding advocate is unsurpassed. He recommends this MedRx feeding tube as a Lactation Aid to allow the nursing mother to supplement her baby without interfering with breastfeeding. Use this feeding tube lactation aid along with a container for the supplement, usually a feeding bottle. This may require that you enlarge the hole on the bottle nipple. Insert the tube through the bottle nipple hole before attaching the lid of the bottle. The tube may be fed into the babies mouth or you may latch the baby onto the tube and nipple simultaneously. If you choose the latter option, medical tape may be helpful in keeping the tube in place as you latch. A syringe is not necessary when using this feeding tube, but if you would like a syringe for flushing the tube, our Lactation Aid Syringes (sold separately) fit best. These medical quality feeding tubes are designed to be used on a short term basis of no more than two weeks. Each tube is in an individual sterile pack for your convenience.

Pro Tip:
36" feeding tubes in 5FR are slow flow. Using the shorter 15" will increase the flow, but is still slower than the 6FR. 5FR 36" is recommended for most newborns.

Life saver!
I use these with my now nine month old. I have glandular tissue insufficiency but these have allowed us to continue nursing. I haven't found any other systems that work for my baby so this product has been invaluable. Very happy to be able to buy in bulk
