Troubleshooting Ameda Breast Pump Parts
If milk is dripping too slowly into bottle:
• Set SPEED dial to a faster setting.
• Replace Ameda silicone diaphragms and white valves.
If pumping causes discomfort:
• Set pump to lower SUCTION setting.
• Check Ameda breast pump flange fit. A larger/smaller breast flange or insert may be needed.
If suction is low:
• Check that Ameda valves are pushed onto breast flanges.
• Check white valves for tears or stretches. Replace if needed.
• If single pumping, remove one tube and close one side of the Ameda tubing adapter.
• Check tubing adapter for cracks. If seen, replace.
• Set pump to higher SUCTION setting.
The Ameda valves are vital for proper suction. To work well, they must be intact and look closed
when pump is not in use.
