Dr. Jack Newman's reputation as a breastfeeding advocate is unsurpassed. He recommends this feeding tube as a Lactation Aid to allow the nursing mother to supplement her baby without interfering with breastfeeding. Use this feeding tube lactation aid along with a container for the supplement, usually a feeding bottle. This may require that you enlarge the hole on the bottle nipple. Insert the tube through the bottle nipple hole before attaching the lid of the bottle. The tube may be fed into the babies mouth or you may latch the baby onto the tube and nipple simultaneously. If you choose the latter option, medical tape may be helpful in keeping the tube in place as you latch. A syringe is not necessary when using this feeding tube, but if you would like a syringe for flushing the tube, our Lactation Aid Syringes (sold separately) fit best. These medical quality feeding tubes are designed to be used on a short term basis of no more than two weeks. Each tube is in an individual sterile pack for your convenience.
