Dr. Jack Newman's reputation as a breastfeeding advocate is unsurpassed. He was the first of many to recommend this Lactation Aid Supplemental Nutrition Feeding Tube to allow the nursing mother to supplement her baby without interfering with breastfeeding. Use this feeding tube lactation aid along with a container for the supplement, usually a feeding bottle. This may require that you enlarge the hole on the bottle nipple. Insert the tube through the bottle nipple hole before attaching the lid of the bottle. The tube may be fed into the babies mouth or you may latch the baby onto the tube and nipple simultaneously. If you choose the latter option, medical tape may be helpful in keeping the tube in place as you latch. A syringe is not necessary when using this feeding tube, but can be used for flushing the tube if desired. (Lactation Aid Syringes sold separately.) These medical quality feeding tubes are designed to be used on a short term basis of no more than two weeks. Two feeding tubes are included for convenience of cleaning or for use with twins. 36" length allows breastmilk to flow at the correct rate for newborns and allows enough length to reach supplement container.
