The Ameda Flexishield areolar stimulator mimics the baby's suckle to assist with "let down" for greater milk flow and volume. This soft, silicone insert fits inside the standard 25.0 mm Ameda breast flange found in all Ameda HygieniKit Milk Collection Systems, Ameda Joy breast pump, Finesse and Purely Yours. The gentle massaging action of this silicone cushion softens the feel of standard flanges while reducing the size to 21 mm for maximum effectiveness for smaller nipples.
Pro Pumping Tip: Use as insert in Ameda standard flange as pictured in images. Standard flange and bottle not included.

Great product!
I anticipated the arrival of this product. I could not wait to use it. The pump I received was through my health insurance and came with the standard size flanges. I have smaller nipples and when I found this I knew it would help with the let down and the quality of my pumping. This product is amazing. It helps with my let down and draws my nipple into the flange for optimal expression.

I think they are working
I ordered these after pumping daily for about three months after my baby started day care. I was worried that my supply was waning and had read various things online about checking the flange size and that too-large flanges could cause milk supply to drop over time. Since I was already using 25mm flanges, I was pleased to find these that could reduce them to 21mm. So far they seem to be working well. I can't say they've dramatically increased my supply, but they've made pumping more comfortable and aren't doing and harm.
